How To Build a Stealth Grow Box by Heath Robinson
New you see me…
Now you don’t!!!
Here is a stealth grow cabinet first posted on the HG420.com forum. The cabinet is mad from a large TV cabinet, internal dimensions are Hight 47 inch (119 cm), Depth 22 inch (56 cm), Width 39.5 inch (1 Meter).
The ballast is a Lumatek 600w hps digital which runs very cool and extremely quiet.
The extraction is a 4″ RVK100 175m3/hour.

Bottom view with with modified bottom in place, the slot is for the air to enter. The air intake which is the letterbox type slot in the bottom of the cabinet measures 19″ x 3″ which is more than big enough for a passive intake to match the extractor.
This picture shows the false bottom fitted, notice that the slot is at the opposite side to the picture above this acts as a light trap and stops the light from inside the cabinet shining onto the floor when the cabinet is stood up.
Extraction (later modified to come out of the bottom of cab).
And with grill fitted.
The red tank is something I had laying around and I modified it to take the lid from a Gro-Tank 424 as the Gro-Tank base was too big to fit the cabinet.
Garland tray fitted.
Dripper system fitted.
modification to exhaust, this was done to make the exhaust much quieter,
In this pic the new extraction can be seen, it blows through the cool tube taking the hot air from the top of the grow cabinet and the cool tube and blows out directly through the bottom of the cabinet. you will see that I have made a small modification and now have the cooltube exhausting through the hole in the bottom of the cab. The reason for this is to use the extra ducting length to act as a silencer and it has worked out great, the cabinet is now quieter than my computer! so I am really pleased with the outcome.
